Nkwa Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on sustainable community development, health promotion, and rural education support in Ghana. Founded in 2013, Nkwa works primarily in rural communities in Ghana to advocate, empower, and enable communities by providing a variety of opportunities to help sustain livelihoods and the wellbeing of under-privilege community members. The foundation focuses its community-based projects in the Central Region of Ghana.
The activities of Nkwa Foundation is premised on the adoption of participatory community approaches that brings sustainability and climate resilient development in rural communities in Ghana.
Our MISSION
To support community participation and the use of community resource mobilization to empower community members to act as change / development agents of their communities to initiate solutions to the development of sustainable and climate resilient communities in Ghana and beyond.

To have rural, poor, under-served, vulnerable or marginalized communities empowered to initiate solutions and lead the development of sustainable and climate resilient communities globally.
OUR GOALS
To empower poor, marginalized and vulnerable rural community members with sustainable and climate resilient skills and strategies to improve their livelihoods.
To instigate community volunteerism, leadership, ownership and community resource mobilization to build sustainable and climate resilient developed communities.
To employ community participatory approaches to promote Health, sanitation and hygiene in rural communities.
To support communities to enroll all children in school and mobilize local community resources to provide enabling environment for teaching and learning.
To support rural poor communities to overcome climate induced developmental challenges through indigenous community crafted resilience programs.
